Recently I got the latest iPad and it is a very nice device (don’t cry RMS). One of my favorite programs for it is AlienBlue, which is a Reddit reader for iOS. A couple of days ago a update for this program added special icons for the retina screen on the new iPad. Each subreddit would get a special icon, but since they are hundreds and hundreds of subreddits, it will be awhile before all subreddits get anything but the default “Snoo” icon. The AlienBlue author provided a PSD template so people could help create subreddit icons. So yesterday I downloaded it and a few minutes generated a nice Snoo icon for the /r/ubuntu subreddit. Now when you view /r/ubuntu in AlienBlue on the new iPad you will see this (Yes the color is #DD4814 for Ubuntu Orange, both on te body and eyes).

Someone will question why promote Ubuntu on a iOS device, I would say you should never miss a opportunity to Ubuntu ad Linux and make it look as best it can.
