Ubuntu Oregon will be working with Western Oregon University during the Winter Term to provide mentors to WOU Students participating in a class covering contributing to Ubuntu.
Asst. Professor Becka Morgan at WOU reached out to Ubuntu Oregon to help facilitate mentoring for her students who she hopes to get throughly engaged in the Ubuntu Community and give them a strong sense of what it means to contribute to a Free Open Source Software Project. Asst. Professor Becka Morgan hopes her students will continue to be involved with Ubuntu long after their mentorship ends.
Ubuntu Oregon is still in need of mentors from the Ubuntu Community to help mentor these students… specifically we are looking for mentors who:
- Can mentor students in the Pacific Standard Time Zone
- Speak & Write in English Fluently
- Have signed to Ubuntu Code of Conduct
- Have a good understanding of contributing to Ubuntu through Documentation, Bug Triage, Devel or LoCo Team’s
If you meet the above criteria and are interested in mentoring WOU students virtually via Skype, E-mail, Google Docs and Google Hangouts then feel free to complete this form and you will be contacted in the coming weeks.
