Has it really been 20 years since Freddie Mercury died?
Most people probably knew him from the fame of the rock band 'Queen'.
He was probably one of the most entertaining and inspirational singers of our time. Whilst being a showman, he also had significant vocal talent.. Has anyone compared since?
I remember exactly where I was when I heard he died.. I was at Butilins, a crappy holiday resort; seeing it on the front page of a newspaper.
Google paid tribute to him back in September, for what would have been his 65th Birthday:

I really regret not having the opportunity to see him actually perform live.
