Howdy, folks!
Here’s what’s been going on in Fluxbox, and what’s coming up.
As you know, Fluxbox 1.3.1 has been out (and better then ever), and is up-to-date in Ubuntu and Debian. If you’ve not tried fluxbox in a while, perhaps it’s time to check it out again!
If you feel like checking out code, we have our main code branch at git.fluxbox.org, which is clone-able at git://git.fluxbox.org/fluxbox.git
.
If being social is more your thing, we have a mirror set up on github, and even launchpad.
Not matter how you like it, we’ve got it mirrored!
The GSoC ended, and we have two really slick features coming up - composting (optional binary), and Lua scripting support. In fact, that lua development branch allows all fluxbox’s config files to be served up in Lua form! Awesome, I know!
If you feel like testing any of that, we have a PPA full of development builds. Bug reports super welcome!
We’ve applied for SPI membership, so we’ll be accepting donations there (providing we are accepted by the kind folks at SPI ) - SPI (as you know) plays host to Debian, PostgreSQL and ArchLinux (among others), so we’re super exited to become a part of that community.
Oh, and the new release (1.3.2) is coming out soon. Keep an eye out for it!
If you just want to hang out with other fluxers, feel free to stop by #fluxbox
on irc.freenode.net
.
See you soon!
