Well, I got an iPad. I know, I know. I can hear ya’ll talking about how much it sucks. It’s really not that bad.
However, what sucks major metaphorical ass is that Apple, in their infinite and wondrously astonishing short-sightedness only allows development on OSX.
I am a programmer. I love programming. I have an iPod Touch. I have an iPad. I want to program for the iOS. I have a GNU Userland, the gcc, and lots of patience.
So, Crapple, why the hell do you restrict your SDK to OSX? I don’t care about your IDE, all I want are the tools. Since OSX is POSIX anyway, is it really that big of a deal to port? Hell, I’d even run a BSD kernel.
Seriously. Really? Are your programmers that shoddy that you can’t un-link the SDK from the interface?
You’ve forced me to consider installing OSX on a virtual machine. Which I don’t want to do. At all.
Well, you’ve lost one developer, anyway. Back to Android I go. It’s shit like this, Steve, shit like this.
